In September, the sales of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) continued to decline as digital collectibles failed to regain their previous levels of monthly sales.
According to CryptoSlam, NFTs generated $296 million in sales, a 20% drop from the previous month’s sales of $373 million.
This marks a significant decrease from the record-breaking sales of $1.6 billion in March, which was the strongest month for digital collectibles in 2021.
Since January 2021, the monthly sales volume for NFTs has not fallen below $300 million. However, in September, it fell to $109 million – the lowest in 2021.
Furthermore, total NFT transactions also decreased by 32% from 7.3 million in August to 4.9 million in September.
