SEC Delays Decision on Ethereum ETF Options

The wait for Ethereum spot ETF options continues as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its ruling on a proposed rule change, according to an October 11th filing.

The decision, originally expected by October 19th, has been pushed back to December 3rd.

This is yet another instance of the SEC deferring its decision regarding options tied to Ethereum spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

In its latest filing, the SEC has once again postponed its ruling on whether to allow the Cboe Exchange to list options on several spot Ether ETFs.

This proposal aimed to list options tied to popular Ethereum ETFs, including big players like BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF and Grayscale Ethereum Trust.
