Matt Hougan, the chief investment officer at Bitwise, predicts that Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) will bring in up to $50 billion in investments this year, meeting the firm’s forecasts.
According to Hougan, January 2025 saw inflows of $4.9 billion, and if this trend continues, Bitcoin ETF inflows could reach around $59 billion annually, surpassing the $35.2 billion inflows in 2024.
Hougan also acknowledges that there may be fluctuation in inflows throughout the year, as seen in 2024, where the highest inflow occurred in November with $6.4 billion, while two months had outflows.
This prediction of Bitcoin ETFs experiencing more inflows in 2025 than the previous year is one of Bitwise’s top ten forecasts for the future.
