The US SEC has acknowledged proposed rule changes that would allow NYSE Arca to list and trade shares of the Grayscale XRP Trust and Grayscale Dogecoin Trust.
Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart noted that a 45-day review period will begin once these proposals are published in the Federal Register.
This development, particularly the acknowledgment of the Grayscale XRP Trust application, has been eagerly awaited, especially as Ripple and the SEC continue their dispute over XRP’s classification.
While the SEC’s acknowledgment of Grayscale’s ETF proposals does not guarantee approval, it is seen as a positive indication that the regulator may be becoming more receptive to crypto investment products.
