Metaplanet announced on Wednesday that it has acquired 497 Bitcoins, valued at $43.3 million.
This purchase increases its total BTC holdings to 2,888.
The firm’s entire Bitcoin reserve has a cumulative cost basis of 36.444 billion yen ($240 million), with an average purchase price of 12,619,066 yen ($84,251.60) per coin.
Earlier, on Monday, Metaplanet engaged in a similar bargain-hunting activity, acquiring 156 BTC as the cryptocurrency’s spot price fell back to $87,000, reversing the gains made over the weekend. At the time of writing, BTC is trading at $87,200.
